Who We Are
ADEPT is a New Jersey-based nonprofit that offers educational programs, training, and consultancy services designed to help organizations and their workforce better serve people from diverse populations and communities. For more than 20 years, we have worked with a wide variety of businesses and industries including health and behavioral health care, public health, disabilities, and other human and social services organizations. Think of us as the practical resource you call when your leadership and staff want to improve engagement with culturally and linguistically diverse communities, or when you want to foster inclusiveness and belonging in the workplace.
What makes ADEPT different? We embrace a growth mindset in bringing together people to foster collective learning, dialogue, and mutual understanding. We help organizations address their “pain points” and challenging issues. We combine lived experience with evidence-based practices to identify and co-create solutions that actually work in the real world. We strive to bridge different viewpoints and experiences to create stronger, more effective organizations.
Whether you’re a hospital trying to reduce disparities in health and health care, a nonprofit wanting to better serve people throughout the lifespan, or a business leader building an inclusive workplace, we provide the training, tools, and ongoing support to help you succeed. Our goal is simple: when organizations understand and respect the people they serve, everyone benefits.

DEI: Legal or Illegal?
Prior to the Supreme Court’s 2023 affirmative action decision, some predicted that this ruling to ban the practice would “take down” the diversity industry or deliver a “concussive” blow to workplace diversity and inclusion efforts. The courts have left plenty of room to continue advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace, the main focus of DEI-related litigation today.
